ALLIED WASTE TOTER REQUIREMENTS (This Memo Was Attached To Each Toter Delivered)|
Dear Valued Customer
Allied Waste Service began Residential Automated service began in Port Aransas on Wednesday January 2, 2008.
Curbside collection of Residential refuse to each Residential unit is (2) times per week: Monday/Thursday, Tuesday/Friday or Wednesday/Saturday depending on schedule for your residence. All Residential refuse will need to be placed in your toter. Toter(s) shall be at the curbside by 7:00 a.m. on your designated collection day.
Construction or other materials such as boards, sheetrock, roofing material & broken concrete will not be collected with garbage.
Do not place the following in toters: debris from remodeling or demolition, such as tile, bricks, cement, etc.; hot ashes; flammable or hazardous materials such as oil, gas paint or asbestos; large appliances; furniture or carpets; liquid waste; loose human & pet waste; dirt or rocks.
Loose or scattered garbage will not be collected.
Do not overfill toters.
Do not place any items outside or on top of the toter. Set toter away from parked cars and mailboxes. On collection days, do not park your vehicle at the curb so that the truck can easily approach the toter. The toter must be placed away from low hanging branches, shrubbery or other obstacles.
The toter remains the property of Allied Waste and must not be painted abused, mutilated, sold or modified in any way.
Toter(s) are assigned to individual street addresses, not to individual customers. If a customer moves, the toter must remain at the assigned address.
Place yard waste such as grass clippings, weeds, leaves, mulch, small trees, shrubs, limbs or other similar items in your toter for pick-up on your regular twice a week garbage days. Allied Waste recommends you bag and place yard waste in toter. Non-bagged, loose grass and leaves stick to the inside of the toter, causing odor and preventing the full contents from being dumped.
