We provide a 24 hour staffed MICU service, with a second ambulance available BLS/MICU as per available personnel on volunteer basis. Call volume average proximally two to three calls a day. We service all of Port Aransas, including working with the U.S. Coast Guards on the water. We are a resort community and due to this, we have to be prepared for an influx of people at any given time. The department employ's three full time paramedic, three full time EMT- Basic, billing clerk, contract and volunteer paramedic's and EMT's. Two BLS/MICU units and directors vehicle serves the City of Port Aransas and surrounding areas.
