The Ellis Memorial Library will be host the Summer Reading Program 2018, Libraries Rock, presented by Angelina Dichiera, a master student from the University of Texas Marine Science Institute. Thank you Boatmen for the many years of support of the Summer Reading Program!! The program will be held in June and July at the Port Aransas Community Center located at 430 N. Alister. The Summer Reading Program will be Wednesdays from 3 to 4 p.m. on June 5, June 12, June 19, June 26, July 11, and July 18, and July 25. We hope to see you there. Registration will be onsite. So, come and join the fun!!!

HURRICANE HARVEY

Due to Hurricane Harvey, our library has lost most of its collection and furnishings. If you wish to make donations to help in our recovery, you may make them to one of the following:

***Ellis Memorial Library, 700 W. Ave A, Port Aransas, TX 78373. A Tax Deduction donation letter will be sent to you for your records.

OR:

***Friends of the Ellis Memorial Library, PO Box 11, Port Aransas, TX 78373. Our wonderful Friends are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

We will be accepting book and media donations at a later date. Unfortunately, we are unable to house any book and media donations at this time.

Thank you for your support during this time of need. Please keep everyone in Texas and Florida in your thoughts as we all cope during this time of disaster.

ANNUAL BOOK SALE

WOW what a fantastic book sale!!! $9,038.81 was raised this year!!!

The Ellis Memorial Library Trust Fund Annual Book Sale was a huge success. The Ellis Memorial Library Trust Fund Trustees want to thank book sale chairman, Patsy Krauskopf, all the dedicated volunteers (local and Winter Visitors), and the Facilities and Parks and Recreation departments who shared their time, talents, and energy to make the 2017 book sale a great success. Thank you to IGA for the use of the shopping carts and a very special thank you goes to all who came out to support the Ellis Memorial Library Trust Fund Book Sale. All proceeds from the sale benefit the library.
